Visa requirements depend on the country where the PokerStars live event is held.

Yes. If you have qualified for a live event, we can provide a visa invitation letter upon request.

This letter can support your visa application when applying at your local embassy.

 

What is a visa invitation letter?

A visa invitation letter is a document that supports your visa application.

You can present this letter to your local embassy as part of the documentation required when applying for a visa to travel to a PokerStars live event.

 

Who can request a visa invitation letter for a PokerStars live event?

You can request a visa invitation letter if one of the following applies:

• you qualified for a PokerStars live event through one of our satellite tournaments
• you registered for a PokerStars live event using your PokerStars account

 

What information do I need to provide to receive a visa invitation letter from you?

Once you are registered for the event, email us with the details below, exactly as they appear in your passport.
If a guest is travelling with you and also needs a visa, send their information as well.

How is the visa invitation letter delivered?

After we receive the information we need, we will prepare your visa invitation letter.

The letter will be sent to you by email as an attachment.

You can then download the letter to your embassy and include it in your visa application.

 

What does 'Visa invitation letter attached' in an email from PokerStars mean?

If you receive an email stating that the visa invitation letter is attached, it means your finalized visa invitation letter has been included in the email.

You can download the document and use it as part of your visa application.

 

Does PokerStars handle the visa application for me?

No. You must complete the visa application yourself.

The visa invitation letter only supports your application and does not guarantee visa approval.

 

What if my visa request is rejected?

If your visa application is denied by the embassy, you may still be able to unregister from the live event tournament.

This is possible unless the event Terms & Conditions state otherwise.

 

How can I ask to be unregistered from a live event tournament after my visa was rejected?

To request unregistration, contact:

Send the request from the email address registered on your PokerStars account.

Your request must be sent at least 48 hours before the event begins.

Important conditions:

• Unregistration is only possible before the tournament starts
• Unregistration is granted at the discretion of PokerStars
